Upholstery Cleaning

First the upholstery type is identified. This allows the technician to decide what cleaning procedure must be used for the best results. Special processes are used for cotton, cotton blends, wool, silk, and other fragile materials to allow for the best possible cleaning.
Secondly, the entire body and cushions are brushed with a special upholstery brush to loosen the dry soils and prepare the fabric for vacuuming. The entire piece is then vacuumed.
The dry cleaning solutions are sprayed onto the upholstery or the towel. Typically a combination of the primary dry cleaning solution and the upholstery cleaner is used for the best soil release.
The technicians will hand clean your upholstery with soft towels. The towels are replaced as needed and special care is used on the delicate fibers. The arms and cushions will have extra attention paid to them as they are typically the most soiled.

What is the best way to clean my hardwood floors?

What is the best way to clean my hardwood floors?

I get asked during every estimate and after every job is completed. The most important part of caring for your hardwood floors is to stay caught up on your dry sweeping. Keeping the small dry particulates up will help prevent the tiny scratches in the polyurethane coating. Occasionally the floor will need to be damp mopped. The key word here is damp. When you damp mop the floor the area cleaned should be dry in just a few seconds. If you use a hardwood floor cleaner make sure it doesn’t say it will restore luster or shine. Any product claiming to restore luster or shine will leave a heavy residue behind and prevent recoating the floor in the future. Also, when using hardwood floor cleaners, less is more.
We typically over apply cleaners, and this too, will lead to residue, or haze being built up on the floor. This is why I like to use the PolyCare Hardwood Floor Cleaner. This is a concentrated cleaning solution that you add to your warm water. This will prevent over application of cleaner and prevent a buildup from forming on the floor. Most importantly keep in mind that a hardwood floor cleaner is just that, a cleaner. When a floor doesn’t shine after cleaning, it is time to put a fresh coat of polyurethane down.

Byrge Carpet Dry Cleaning System

Step 1 Power Brush the Carpet:

  • Without using the power brush, Your Carpet Will Not Be Clean! " The POWER BRUSH picks up loose soil and grit deep in your carpet and resets the pile allowing proper penetration of our dry cleaning solution.

Step 2 Detail Vacuuming:

  • Special vacuum units are used to detail all edges and corners.

Step 3 Sprayer:

  • One of our specially formulated solutions is sprayed into the carpet in a uniform pattern. This cleaning solution attaches itself to any remaining stains and soils.

Step 4 Hand Scrubbed Edges:

  • Often times airborne soils are deposited along the edges of rooms where air flows, this is known as air filtration. Hand scrubbing is the only tool to help with this problem. We pay attention to this extra detail to get the best results.

Step 5 Buffing the Carpet:

  • Next a soft, circular cleaning pad containing our formulated electrolyte solution is placed under Byrge's carpet dry cleaning machine. As the soft pads are gently rotated over the carpet fibers, the specially formulated solution lift dirt out of the carpet, leaving it clean, bright and free of sticky residues.

Step 6 Grooming the Carpet:

  • Finally, your carpet is professionally groomed. This process separates the fibers and stands the nap up for increased resistance to wear
